1. About this policy

BIBUWAY is a Windows desktop application developed by Jiri X. Dolezal under the name JXD VibeLabs.

It provides personal date reminders and checks for changes to selected websites, files, folders, running programs, network availability, disk space, and its own application files.

This policy explains how the desktop application handles information. It does not cover the separate privacy practices of Microsoft, your email provider, websites you monitor, or other services you choose to use.

2. Information used on your computer

BIBUWAY uses information needed for the features you configure:

• LifeDay: the date you enter, usually your date of birth. BIBUWAY also reads your Windows account name to personalise the displayed sentence and PDF reports.
• Anniversaries and recurring tasks: the names, dates, and repeat intervals you enter.
• Website monitoring: website addresses you enter and a digital fingerprint of each successfully checked page’s extracted text.
• File monitoring: selected file paths, whether the files exist, their sizes, and their recorded modification and creation times. If you enable the |hash option, BIBUWAY reads each selected file’s contents to calculate a digital fingerprint.
• Folder monitoring: file paths and file information within the folders and subfolders you select.
• Program monitoring: Windows running-program names, used to check whether your selected programs are running. Saved monitoring results concern the programs you select.
• Network monitoring: the public hosts and ports you enter and their connection results.
• Disk monitoring: available space on the C: drive and the time of the check.
• Application integrity: digital fingerprints used to detect changes to BIBUWAY itself.
• Preferences and history: your settings, reminder timing information, and saved scan reports.

A digital fingerprint is a calculated value used to compare two versions of information. It is not a saved copy of the original document or web page.

BIBUWAY does not save full monitored file contents or full downloaded web pages as monitoring snapshots.

3. Where information is stored

BIBUWAY stores settings and monitoring data in a folder named BIBUWAY_data, beside the application’s executable file.

This includes settings, saved comparison information, reminder timing information, integrity references, and scan history.

PDF reports are saved wherever you choose.

BIBUWAY does not provide a user account or an application-operated cloud storage service. Its monitoring code does not automatically upload your settings, monitored file contents, or scan reports to the developer.

If you place the application, its data folder, or exported reports in a shared or cloud-synchronised location, other software or people with access to that location may be able to access them.

4. Internet connections

BIBUWAY makes internet connections when you configure its online monitoring features.

PgCtrl requests the web pages you enter. The contacted websites receive normal connection information, including your public IP address, the requested page address, and an application identifier of BIBUWAY/1.0. Redirects may lead to requests to additional websites.

PgCtrl does not use your browser’s saved login session or cookies and does not execute the page’s JavaScript.

NetWatch attempts a connection to the public host and port you enter. It does not download a web page. The destination may record the connection attempt and your public IP address.

Domain-name lookups may also be handled by your computer’s configured name-resolution service.

BIBUWAY does not automatically send your LifeDay date, reminders, local file contents, or reports with these monitoring requests. However, information you include in a website address is sent as part of that request. Avoid addresses containing private access tokens or other confidential information.

The contacted services apply their own privacy practices. Connections may reach servers in other countries.

Opening the website or email link in ABOUT starts your chosen browser or email application. Those applications and services handle the resulting activity separately.

5. Analytics and advertising

The desktop application contains no built-in advertising, usage analytics, or automatic crash-report upload feature.

It does not automatically transmit its locally stored monitoring data to the developer for advertising or profiling.

6. How long information is kept

Daily scan-history files are kept for today and the previous six calendar days. Older dated history files are removed when BIBUWAY runs its cleanup.

Settings and comparison information have no general automatic expiry. They remain in the data folder until removed or replaced. Removing a monitoring entry from Settings does not necessarily erase every earlier record of it.

PDF reports remain where you saved them until you delete them. BIBUWAY does not remove your exported reports.

When you accept a trusted application update, the previous executable integrity reference is saved as a backup.

7. Your controls

You can:

• Change or remove monitoring entries in SETTINGS.
• Use PAUSE / RESUME to pause automatic monitoring.
• Use EXIT to stop the application.
• Delete exported PDF reports yourself.
• Delete saved application data yourself.

While paused, SCAN NOW still performs a check. Saving settings also requests a check.

To clear all saved BIBUWAY settings and monitoring history, exit the application and delete its BIBUWAY_data folder. This resets the application. If you open BIBUWAY again, it creates fresh data and new comparison references.

If you no longer want BIBUWAY to start when you sign in, switch off START WITH WINDOWS before removing the application.

Deleting local data does not delete copies in backups, cloud storage, shared locations, previously exported reports, or records held by contacted websites.

8. Protecting your information

BIBUWAY’s settings and history are ordinary local files. The application does not add password protection or encryption to them. Their protection depends on your Windows account permissions, device security, and storage arrangements.

Reports may contain personal reminder names, your Windows account name, file paths, website addresses, and monitoring results. Review reports before sharing them.

BIBUWAYSec detects differences from a saved reference. It is not antivirus software and does not independently prove that an application file is safe.
